A quick write up from the Friday 9th of March College of Arts Technician Meeting by Gary Anderson:
John-Paul Ashton attended the CoA technical team on Friday 9th March. He did a very interesting presentation and talked about the pilot registration program they are running. They need 100 people to sign up, once they have that they can then start to apply for funding etc. I am going to encourage my team to sign up so hopefully if enough of them do then we might pushit over that number. The tea were very interested and I it was a very worth while exercise as many of them problems they face day to day they not see happen to other staff in other institutions. It was also very useful as they have a much clearer understanding of what is happening at national level. As I put in a separate post my team are very keen to create a technician network so I think our TechLinc will be off to a flying start.
