Brief description of role:

Provide technical support to staff and students whilst ensuring academic staff have the resources and space to deliver practical lab sessions within the HPC. Other department responsibilities include: the day-to-day operation of the Human Performance Centre; maintaining and calibrating sport science equipment; supporting undergraduate and postgraduate practical activities and data collection; assisting with consultancy work and helping with research.  

Alongside the sport science technician role, Sandro is also involved in teaching Undergraduate SES Year 1 Biomechanical Basis of Human Movement laboratory sessions and delivering Strength and Conditioning consultancy within the department.

How long at Institution:

Sandro has been working at the University of Lincoln since 2018.

Journey to role:

Sandro completed a Masters in Sports Science at the University of Lincoln in 2011. From 2012-2018 Sandro spent time in industry, mainly as a strength and conditioning coach for a rugby team. Before and in parallel with this Sandro had 15 years of experience working in the Fitness industry in a variety of roles such as Personal Trainer and Gym Manager.
